Statistical analysis for 4 years (1980~1983) of Bone marrow aspiration in Seoul Paik Hospital

Abstract
|
|
|
The classification and statistics were taken from 331 cases of bone marrow aspiration smears at the Dept. of Clinical Pathology, Seoul Paik Hospital, Inje Medical College during 4 years from JAN. 1980 to DEC. 1983.
The results were as follows
1. Male to female sex ratio of 331 cases was 1.03 : 1
2. Disease incidence was the highest in leukemia (93 cases28.2%) and the others were anemia, I.T.P and plasma cell myeloma in orders.
3. In leukemia, incidence was AML (53.7/x), CML (23.7%) and ALL (22. 1o) in orders. Male to female sex ratio was 1.9 : 1
The incidence ratio between acute leukemia and chronic leukemia were 4. 1 : 1
4. In anemia, iron dificience anemia was the most frequent disease (80. 40/´o) The most frequent age group was 1130 yrs.
In 010 yrs age group, patients were only male and only female patients were observed in 2030 yrs.
5. 81.50/0 of I.T.P. patient were observed in 020 yrs. age group.
6. Plasma cell myeloma was observed after 30 yrs. in age and frequently observed after 9 yrs old (75%).
